No more straps running through hoods, tires, or fenders.
This mod enhances tension belts in Farming Simulator 25, ensuring that vehicles are secured to trailers and transport platforms in a much more realistic way.
The belts align more closely with the actual shape of the vehicle, taking into account the tires, bodywork, and existing collision geometry.

Features
Precise Vehicle Measurement
– The vehicle’s cross-section is calculated specifically at the belt’s position.
– Actual geometry is used instead of a simple rectangular shape.
– This significantly reduces instances of belts passing through the vehicle body or attachments.

Improved Tire Calculation
Tires are calculated based on their specific vehicle data, including:
– Tire radius
– Tire width
– Wheel offset
– Dual-wheel configurations
– Tread and sidewalls

This allows the belt to wrap around the tires rather than cutting through them.

Intelligent Body Detection
– Vehicle collisions are analyzed from both the top and the sides.
– General wheel collisions are replaced by more precise tire calculations.
– Hidden or non-rendered vehicle components are ignored.
– Invisible effect geometry does not unnecessarily interfere with the belt’s path.

Realistic Belt Routing
– The belt finds the shortest, tightest path between the ratchet and the hook.
– The distance to the vehicle’s surface is taken into account.
– Fewer belts appear to float in mid-air or run at unnecessarily high positions.

Secure Cargo Fixation
Once tightened, the belt secures the vehicle firmly to the transport platform.
– Multi-part vehicles are fully supported. – Reduced sliding and swaying during transport.
– The securing mechanism remains active as long as the strap is tensioned.

Standard behavior remains unchanged
Wood, logs, bales, and pallets continue to use the standard GIANTS system.
The new calculations focus primarily on vehicles and machinery.

Performance & Compatibility
– Calculations are performed only when a strap is being attached or tensioned.
– No continuous, per-frame calculations.
– Multiplayer supported.
– No GIANTS scripts are replaced.
– No modifications to vehicle XML files required.
– Works with vehicle mods without the need for custom adjustments.

Technical Limitation
The accuracy of the vehicle body detection depends on the collision geometry defined for each specific vehicle mod.
If a modder has not created appropriate collision geometry for certain parts of a vehicle, the mod cannot precisely detect that shape.
Tires are handled separately, based on their existing wheel data.
