Farming Simulator 25: How to improve your harvest?
We won’t shock you with this information – Farming Simulator is about getting the best harvest possible. But with so many different agricultural activities, there’s a pretty good chance that you’re not doing everything possible to get even better results and make even more money!
Here’s what you should do to make the best of your harvest on FS25.
5 steps to improve your yield on FS25
Here are some of the main things you should focus on when improving your FS25 harvests:
- Plowing. Plowing is a crucial activity to do: it helps to remove roots from the ground, and make its texture more suitable for crop growth.
- Weeding. Weeds can cause some serious issues for your crops: not only do they take up space, they also steal some of the nutrients meant to go to your crops! Removing weeds early lets you save on sprayers and herbicides. Use a mechanical weeder to remove them early and efficiently.
- Mulching. After the harvest is done, your field will be covered by various stumps: luckily, they’re a great source of nutrients for the next year. Cut them up using a mulcher, and cultivate the field for a small but guaranteed increase to your next harvest.
- Liming your soil. Once every three harvests, your fields will need to be limed. This is supposed to help optimize your soil’s pH level, making it much less acidic. You won’t have to remember this all by yourself, as the game’s HUD will let you know all about it.
- Fertilization. This is the most important and the most effective step here. During each crop cycle, fertilize your fields twice. A solid variety of options is available, so choose the one that suits your crops and needs.
