FS25 trailer mods – easy way to improve your farming

The Farming Simulator modding community makes playing this game incredibly exciting. Thousands of people are constantly working to offer you improvements, completely free of charge! This dedicated group of people makes just about anything: but trailer mods have turned into some of the most popular mods for everyone to use. It’s no surprise – they can be used for just about everything, from moving crops to livestock or helping you in forestry. With so many models, you will be spoiled for choice, and have an option to have an incredibly realistic roster of machinery.

What do trailers do in Farming Simulator 25?

Trailers are used for almost every single activity in the FS25 game. Their functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Moving crops. Silage, hay, grain, and pretty much everything else can (and should!) be moved using a trailer, right from the fields into the storage, or directly to a sale point.
  • Moving livestock. From pastures to the markets, and the other way around – trailers are the best way to move your animals around.
  • Moving equipment. Not all of the machinery that you use is always connected to a tractor. A trailer helps you move some of the stationary machinery pieces between workshops and fields.
  • Moving liquids. Slurry, fuel, water, all of those things need to be moved. A liquid cargo trailer is the best tool for that.

The stock game offers plenty of options for trailers doing all of these tasks. However, modders take it to the next level – with a massive variety of trailers for any trailer-related task under the sun, moon, and stars.

What trailer mods are there?

Generally, we can separate most of the trailers into a few different categories, depending on their function.

  • Standard trailers. These are the most common trailers that pretty much any FS25 farmer uses. Perfect for carrying various crops, hay, or silage, they are the backbone of any good farming machinery and tool roster.
  • Tank trailers. This is the type of trailer you need to have if you need to transport liquids. They are excellent for moving water, slurry, and fertilizers (just not at once.) More advanced trailer models will offer additional features that will help you immediately use the materials, spreading or injecting them where required.
  • Livestock trailers. These trailers are meant to move livestock around. Different specifications are available, as you need different setups for various types of animals available in the game.
  • Tipper trailers. Focused on fast and efficient unloading, these trailers have hydraulic mechanisms that massively speed up the gameplay. They will work wonders when transporting various dry and loose materials, like gravel or soil.
  • Special trailers. These trailers combine several of the features into one and are usually focused on specializing with only one task. Think manure spreaders, forestry trailers, and bale trailers.

Why should you use trailer mods on FS25?

Trailer mods are a beloved part of the Farming Simulator modding scene – and there are a few good reasons for that.

  • Additional realism. Mods usually attempt to recreate an existing real-life model, which is not available on the official game. This adds plenty of extra realism – maybe you want to use a specific older, or less popular model, which better reflects the type of farming you’re doing?
  • Gameplay is enhanced. The trailer mods serve a variety of different functions, and some of the most specialized mods will help you work with the most specific and complex tasks out there.
  • Better efficiency. Trailer mods can be a lot more productive – and there are plenty of mods that will help you work more efficiently than ever before.
  • Excellent visual quality. The modding community is making some amazing looking mods right now. You can create a farm with a distinct visual identity, choosing from a massive list of trailers, and the quality of the mods will match the official releases.

What is the future of FS25 trailer mods?

The Farming Simulator modders have spent years improving the game series, offering incredibly useful content, guidance, and support – not only for the players but the game developers themselves. The amount of skill and creativity poured into many of these mods is genuinely amazing.

With the latest game, GIANTS has opened up even more opportunities for modding. Mods will be even more detailed, have even better visual fidelity, and have plenty of smart features, all while maintaining a very solid file size. With this in mind, we are expecting all mods – including the FS25 trailer mods – to become even better.

That means that up next, you should be waiting for physics enhancements, AI-controller unloading and loading procedures, and even more customization. The best is yet to come: and we can’t wait to see it for ourselves.
