Maasland 4x is a Dutch fantasy based map and not heavily detailed. Since it would be a multiplayer map, I wanted it to be as clean as possible so that it always ran smoothly.
Reason for me to make this map: many maps have some good things and bad things, for example I like the Papenburg map, but the editor quit.
I love the American flatlands but the map has so many bugs, Juocta Map is nice but has way too many custom items which for me is a big turn off, then we have the more realistic maps but for me those don’t tick the boxes.
So as I always say to people who cry over other people/people’s cards, if you can do it better, do it yourself. So that’s what I did. At first it was just for my friends and I so we can play together.
But after Qesslygaming (streamer) asked me to watch the map on a live stream, it made me think twice. For now, I don’t plan on updating the map anytime soon unless there are major issues that need to be addressed.
I hope you guys enjoy it and if you don’t keep the backlash for yourself and leave the comment space for people who do care and post bugs.

Now what does the map bring you:
– 138 famlands
– 132 fields (smallest 4.8ha biggest 89ha)
– 5 empty farm spots (coz most of us hate preplaced farms)
– Logging area
– Little town in the center
– Several sell and buy points
– Added dark tarmac texture from the AS map
– Added sidewalk texture from the EU map
– Animal trader (working like it should)
– 3 added crops: Millet/rye/hops
– Train system
– soccerfield if multiplayer farming gets boring

First time through crashed before I could even do anything, I went into contracts to see what they were like and then went to settings but all the pages were corrupt and couldn’t do anything, I’m trying again now
its probably a mod issue, am playing on it with friends atm, alot of mods broke because of the 1.7 patch. if it crashes again try one time without mods if it gives no issues its ur mods
try without mods, the 1.7 patch broke alot of mods
Ok since the game released I am trying it with no mods so once I deselected 212 mods seems to work OK but going to be a challenge
just wait for the mods to update, or what i do is put in 10 mods at the time and run the game, if it keeps running i add 10 more. its a pain but it works everytime
Sorry to keep posting but I’ve been trying this because I love straight and flat maps especially 4X ones. I got two missions to harvest hops and borrowed the items but when I try either one they don’t collect anything, I’m still playing with no mods ??
those hops mission keep giving the wrong header tried fixing that but for some reason it keeps returning if you have a own header it will work just fine
Playing all day. Running on server with 50 mods. No issues at all. Server runs great, FPS and lag seem perfect. Loving this map, No hiccups at all. Great job on the map, I can edit roads, fields, add AD routes, really happy so far.

I’ve added a few mods mainly autodrive because I’m fed up with places can’t be reached even if it’s straightforward. I am trying to keep it a non mod game though. I haven’t added mods for bigger equipment and will see how long to getting fed up 🤣

GREAT MAP!!!. I have played this for a few hours now, and have seen and had no issues with mods, they all work so far. Way better than maps i have used before including flatlands, which is a good map, but too many flaws and not enough updates. This is the best map i have played. I have to admit, i saw reviews from people having issues with mods and i left it, but then i got drunk last night and downloaded it, and was instantly happy :)…..Well done on putting together a map that actually does what it says. Big thank you.

no i didnt add any.
I think the mod that crashed the game in menu is Refresh contracts. It’s working fine without it

Okay, so I post earlier that the map is amazing, and it is. But finally found a hiccup. While plowing 2 fields together, the part inbetween the fields will plow, and AI indeed recognize it, the crop that grows in that area, does not give yield even when I plow it, own it farm it. Nothing in return.
did you save and restart the save? sometimes it needs a reboot of the save.so that the game sees the field 100% if you know what i mean
Okay, sorry taking so long to get back. 1- I run game on dedi server from 4netplayers. 2-Not sure about your restart of the save. Created a start in career mode, then trans save to server. If i open in career and do resave then i loose farms, so, Just restart on server every 24hrs.Server wise, no yield in-between the combined fields. Now, it isn’t much, but still a bummer. Still worth playing.
