Farming Simulator 25 – Latest Modding Updates & mods

Farming Simulator 25 is about to come out soon! So, it’s no surprise that there are plenty of things to talk about: in both the game features and the modding news. Let’s get right into it – so you know exactly what’s happening in the world of Farming Simulator.

Latest Farming Simulator 25 features and demos

Gamescom FS25 demo

Gamescom wrapped up in Germany in late August: and many fans were excited to finally get their hands on the latest game. This marked the first time the demo of the game was made available to the public. How did it go?

Well, if you expected a demo of an unfinished game to showcase all of the latest features…You probably only have yourself to blame.

The demo did showcase some of the new interesting things, such as the updated tire marks. For now, they did seem a little generic and not much different going from vehicle to vehicle – only visible change being the tyre size. The demo didn’t include some of the most basic expected features, such as the mini map, a map tab, a shop, and the updated GPS feature. Some eagle-eyed players have spotted the simplified version of the CoursePlay mod running on the game.

All in all, it was a tech demo: but it was also set up at the best possible weather and time of day conditions, so players weren’t able to experience the highly-lauded fog and weather effects. The fields sure looked nice – but we will be waiting for further demos and updates to get a clearer look of what’s happening.

New feature – third-person view on FS25

In the news that will excite all third-person video game fans, all well as content creators – GIANTS Software have announced that Farming Simulator 25 will feature a third-person view mode!

This has been one of the top features requested by the community, and now it’s here! We expect the human models in the game to get massively revamped as a result. This would be in line with the leaks that mention GIANTS focusing a lot more on NPC emotions, movements, and even conversation options, making them a lot more realistic.

Don’t expect GTA VI, darn, don’t even expect GTA V: but if done well, this should be a big boost to the players who enjoy third-person games more (like me!) and content creators as well – I’m only guessing, but this should help create some interesting Farming Simulator 25 roleplay content.

Farming Simulator 25 – Latest Modding Updates

Millennial Farmer Map – Revamped, And Soon To Be Released!

Millennial Farms is one of the most interesting community-created Farming Simulator maps. Some will say that it was due an update: with Farming Simulator 25 just around the corner, this was the perfect time to do so. And now, we can finally see the results.

Mappers Paradise have completed their part of this massive project, and now, this updated map is on its final stages, with Celobuki doing the remaining work. Check out the video below to see the new Millennial Farmer map in action.

You can already see the farmhouse, all the buildings, shops, sell points, and a silo system. Since this map is based on Minnesota, there is snow as well! All in all, it’s a very nice update, and we are glad there’s a pretty long video that covers many of the exciting things.

If you’ve already played on this map on either FS19 or FS22, here are some key differences you should know: there are many more fields outside the main farm. When in the past, the Millennial Farms map was pretty nice in the center, but desolate just outside of it, now it’s a lot more rounded. The town area is now fully within the map boundaries as well.

The fields are a little smaller – which could disappoint some players, who played the earlier version of the map just because of how massive the fields were – but there are more of them now.

From what we see, it seems that the ring road around the map will be gone as well. The roads will finish at the bottom corners.

Big Bud by Classic American Icons

We finally got some looks at the Big Bud 650s, created by Classic American Icons. It seems all but done – it’s only missing the Industrial Version model. These are wonderful pieces of machinery that feel just right on a massive American map. The 18-liter Detroit diesel engine is as American as the bald eagle carrying an apple pie.

These classic tractors haven’t been common guests in the FS community. There were a couple in the last three FS games, but now it seems that the floodgates have opened.

Here’s hoping that Classic American Icons is preparing for the launch of FS25 – and we will be able to try out the entire Big Bud fleet as soon as possible.

Gleaner S9 by SiiD Modding

SiiD Modding has wrapped up work on the Gleaner S9 Series, stating it’s “98% done”. The sounds are all brand new and updated, and the GPS should work perfectly. New animations, new controls, new sounds: it’s shaping to be an excellent all-around mod.

John Deere X9 by Dince Modding

John Deere X9 by Dince Modding is well in progress: it’s the American version, that’s a little different from the X9 in Europe. This means updated wheels, more options for your grain tanks, and a few more minor changes.

Legacy Premium Cutter Pack by Hispano Modding

After failing to materialize into something concrete the first time around, Hispano Modding is back with his Legacy Premium Cutter Pack. GIANTS are already in the process of testing Pack of Balers with Windrow and the Round Balers Pack with Windrower.

The AGCO Baler Pack with Windrower is in the testing stages as well: but seemingly a little behind the others.

Claas Disco Pack by WOLFex Modding

WOLFex Modding has been working hard to release the Claas Disco Pack: and now we have some more information about it. The pack will include three mower models, with different widths at 2.4m, 2.8m, and 3.2m. All of them will include security plates that have fully customizable rear lights, and custom sounds are included as well. You might be using plenty of Claas tractors – but there aren’t that many mowers. Things might change with this pack. We love to see the detail in the mod, and can’t wait to try it out.

Gondola Trailer Mod by Caleruega Modding

The Gondola Trailer mod is all about transporting bales – and recently, we got a pretty good look at the latest updates from Caleruega Modding. The trailers are fully dedicated to bale transportation. The supports in the front will keep the bales from falling, and getting into your truck.

Before, we have seen some more information about the mods, but there’s still nothing that showed progress or gives us any intel about the possible future release date.

72×126 shop Legacy Ag

Farming Simulator is more than just vehicles: buildings are super important as well! Legacy Ag has shown us his latest creation, the massive 72×126 Shop! There are still some things that need to be fixed, like the lighting, but apart from that, it seems completely done.

This mod will work on all platforms, and nearly perfectly recreates the real modular houses this shop is based on. There’s a big shop area, or an office area.
